Lorenzo Monge is a Protestant military chaplain. He serves the Île-de-France Gendarmerie region, specifically working with gendarmerie units in the Seine-et-Marne department (77). We follow him in his daily work of supporting gendarmes as they carry out their duties—whether on patrol, during speed, alcohol, or drug checks, while having coffee at the barracks, or during physical training, among other activities.

Lorenzo Monge recently learned that he was being posted to Cayenne, French Guiana. He welcomes this transfer—a phase of life any military chaplain might experience—but it is not without consequences for his personal life.
