"1973: War Diary," a two-part historical documentary, offers a radically new perspective on the Yom Kippur War. Forty years after the events, the film tells the true story of this conflict. It is a story that is not merely military, but also political; not just Israeli, but also Egyptian, Syrian, and Western. It is a story that belongs to everyone.

If the Six Day War of 1967 is, rightly, one of the major events in the Middle East, the Yom Kippur War of 1973 is of great importance for understanding what is happening today in this part of the world.

The Yom Kippur War truly represents a turning point in the modern history of the Middle East. Arab and Israeli societies are still experiencing the full consequences of it today.

For the first time, this film presents both Israeli and Arab perspectives on this conflict.
